Giving Thanks
Books don’t–as much as we may wish they did–spring forth from our brains onto perfectly printed pages or automatically downloaded to an e-reader. They are labors of love (and frustration). They’re also a group effort. Today is Thanksgiving. Tomorrow will mark two weeks since The Sentinels: Requital launched. It is the perfect time to give thanks to all who made this book possible.
To my beta readers, Greg, Marlene, and Maridean:
Thank you for your time and comments. You made the published product so much better with your critiques and suggestions.
To my editor, Laurel:
Thank you for putting up with the comma splices, weird American phrasing, my incessant questions, and the late-night/early morning freak outs. You are a good friend and a great editor.
To Mamma:
Thank you for formatting the print version. Thank you for being a constant cheerleader.
To my newsletter, Discord, and Facebook, fans:
Thank you for the feedback on blurbs. Thank you for sticking with me. Thank you for reading and posting reviews. Y’all are rock stars.
And, thanks to Mark:
You dealt with late (or skipped) dinners, my whining about formatting SNAFUs, and my constant need for feedback. You’re always willing to listen to my crazy ideas and tell me when I’m being too outrageous–or profane, or negative, or idiotic.
You are my Always.
